Another reason that you’ll want to spend most of your time developing the underlying frameworks is that I noticed after the application was re-architect-ed, was how easy it was to step in as an extra developer on the project.

Producing such a solid foundation and sticking to well known system design principles makes it a breeze to add to the development team while keeping forward momentum on the project.

I visited that place a couple years ago, while visiting some friends that live nearby. I definitely had the same feeling of “what if a blade were to fall off?” Those things are so massive, and it’s quite intimidating to stand underneath one.

Thanks so much everyone! We are using it here at the games to stay up to date. Even though we are “on-site” we are using it to make sure that we know what is happening in Vancouver so that we can keep the team posted here in Whistler. Looks like it was a pretty killer trip, Chris. I can definitely see a lot of culture coming out in these photos. As designers it would be great if we could just travel constantly and gain inspiration from every corner of the Earth…there’s only so much to see on the net!
